“€0 to €30m in 6 Months” – West Ham eyeing massive profit deal

A few days ago, West Ham were linked with Udinese centre-back Oumar Solet. The French defender made headlines again after scoring a stunning long-range goal against Serie A leaders Inter Milan, further boosting his profile in Italy.

Tuttomercatoweb reports that Solet’s market value has skyrocketed from ‘€0 to €30m in just six months.’ The 25-year-old was a free agent in September after terminating his contract with Red Bull Salzburg. Despite the closed transfer window, he had already decided to join Udinese on a free transfer. Since January, his performances have significantly increased his worth.

West Ham will now have to pay €30m if they want to secure his services, with Udinese set for a massive profit after signing him for free. Solet has been a key figure this season, starting all 11 of his Serie A appearances and proving himself as a solid, ball-playing defender.

While West Ham remain interested, Manchester United have also reportedly made contact, increasing the chances of Solet moving to the Premier League. The Hammers had the opportunity to sign him as a free agent but may now regret not acting sooner.
