Jame O’Hara airs jealousy over Newcastle’s Carabao Cup celebrations.

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again – rival fans just don’t grasp the sheer passion Newcastle United supporters have for their team. Every fanbase believes they’re the best, and that’s fair, but few match the intensity shown by the Geordies.

Newcastle United has faced decades of underachievement but still manages to fill its 52,000-seat stadium for every match. Sure, there were a few years when tickets were virtually useless due to fan protests against the owner, but that had nothing to do with the team itself.

Even in the darkest times, we set attendance records in the Championship. So, when we finally won a trophy, it’s only natural that we celebrated big.

Not all rival fans have been bitter, but some certainly have been. While many have shared in our joy, a few have criticized us for celebrating, despite their own teams having won nothing. It’s all rooted in jealousy—if fans and clubs can’t celebrate winning a trophy, what’s the point of the sport?

This is something TalkSPORT host Jamie O’Hara needs to learn. He went off on a rant about Newcastle’s celebrations, calling us out for acting like we’d won the Premier League and labeling us with a “small club mentality.”

To make it worse, even Jason Cundy had to call him out. That’s like being scolded for bad behavior by someone who embodies it.

O’Hara tried to justify his rant by sharing his experience with Spurs, claiming that after winning the League Cup, they partied and went back to work the next day. If that’s the Spurs’ mentality towards silverware, it’s no wonder they haven’t won anything since. They simply don’t deserve it.

Let us enjoy our success. If you don’t understand passion, just keep quiet and stop looking like a bitter, jealous child.
