Brighton in advanced talks with FC Porto for summer transfer – Strong opportunity for Seagulls player

Julio Enciso struggled to secure a significant role at Brighton & Hove Albion this season, prompting the Premier League club to loan him to Ipswich Town in January. During his time at Ipswich, the attacking midfielder played six games and registered two assists, including one in their 2-1 win over AFC Bournemouth.

Enciso will finish the season at Ipswich and then return to Brighton, where another loan move could be on the cards for the summer. According to O Dia, Flamengo is interested in signing the 21-year-old.

Flamengo’s interest is not new, as they had discussions with Brighton in the winter transfer window, but Enciso wasn’t keen on moving to Brazil and chose Ipswich instead. FC Porto is also monitoring the Paraguayan and is reportedly in advanced talks with Ipswich for a new loan deal.

Journalist Gabriel Reis, also known as Paparazzo RN, confirms Flamengo’s interest, noting that both Flamengo’s manager, Filipe Luís, and sporting director, José Boto, are keen on Enciso. However, Enciso has shown reluctance to return to South America. Reis adds that Porto is now in advanced talks with Brighton, although it’s unclear whether Enciso would be willing to join the Portuguese club. Either way, Flamengo may find it challenging to secure Enciso due to his preferences and Porto’s growing interest.
