Donovan and Howard criticize USMNT’s Robinson for rushing Fulham comeback.

Landon Donovan and Tim Howard have criticized Antonee Robinson for returning to Fulham quickly after skipping USMNT duty due to injury.

Robinson withdrew from the Concacaf Nations League squad, citing tendinopathy and stating that the break was his only chance to manage the issue. Meanwhile, the USMNT struggled in his absence, losing to Canada and Panama. However, Robinson started both of Fulham’s matches immediately after the break.

Donovan admitted he expected Robinson to miss more time if he was too injured to play for the USMNT. Speaking on the *Unfiltered Soccer* podcast, he expressed frustration, saying fans had a right to be upset given how much the national team suffered. He also argued that Robinson prioritized club competitions over his country, a decision he personally disagreed with.

Howard echoed Donovan’s sentiments, pointing out that Robinson could have rested during Premier League matches instead of the Nations League. He suggested that Robinson’s priorities were clear: the Premier League, FA Cup, and then the USMNT.
