Fulham have made it clear to Premier League clubs and international suitors that in-form striker Rodrigo Muniz is not for sale.
The Brazilian forward netted his eleventh goal of the season, including a memorable strike against Virgil van Dijk, in Fulham’s 3-1 victory over Liverpool on Sunday. With only twelve months remaining on his current contract, Fulham are set to begin discussions over a new deal with the 23-year-old before the summer.
Muniz has impressed this season, scoring against top teams like Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea, and Manchester City. His performances have attracted the attention of scouts from Chelsea, Spurs, and several European clubs. However, the striker is eager to continue his development under manager Marco Silva. Silva, who also wants the club to trigger a one-year extension for veteran Raul Jimenez, is keen to retain Muniz for the long term.
Both Muniz and Silva have been linked with interest from Tottenham, especially with Ange Postecoglou’s position at the club becoming more uncertain. However, both the forward and manager are committed to securing their futures at Fulham, which would significantly support chairman Shahid Khan’s plans for the club’s future.
