The New York Giants have had a busy offseason, signing veteran quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston to provide stability under center. While those additions offer short-term relief, many fans are still eager for a long-term solution at quarterback — someone young and exciting to build around.
According to analyst Gregg Giannotti of *Boomer and Gio*, Alabama’s Jalen Milroe could be that high-upside option in the upcoming draft. Giannotti acknowledged Milroe may not be ready to start immediately, but he sees value in letting the young QB develop behind experienced veterans like Wilson and Winston.
Milroe, who racked up 2,844 passing yards and 16 touchdowns last season, also showcased his mobility with 726 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns on the ground. Giannotti compared him to Anthony Richardson but noted that Richardson’s struggles stemmed from being thrown into a starting role too soon.
While the Giants are eyeing Abdul Carter or Travis Hunter with the No. 3 overall pick, Milroe could be in play at pick No. 34 or possibly late in the first round if New York trades up. That move would also grant them a fifth-year option on his rookie deal.
Ultimately, the Giants still need a long-term quarterback, and Milroe could be a strong investment for the future.
