The Giants just issued a warning shot to the entire division.
Wins have been hard to come by for the New York Giants in recent seasons. But after a draft that’s being hailed as one of the best in the league, the winds may finally be shifting in East Rutherford.
With the third overall pick, the Giants landed Penn State pass rusher Abdul Carter—called by some the best overall player in the draft. Then came a bold move: trading up for Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart at No. 25, a potential long-term franchise QB. Together, those two picks sent shockwaves across the league—and through the NFC East.
The message? Big Blue isn’t backing down anymore.
Sports Illustrated analysts Gilberto Manzano and Matt Verderame gave the Giants an A+ grade—the highest in the division. They believe Carter could become a game-wrecker next to Brian Burns and Dexter Lawrence II, while Dart, mentored by Brian Daboll and backed by veteran Russell Wilson, could be the future under center.
But the Giants didn’t stop there. Their Day 3 selection of Cam Skattebo, a powerful and versatile back out of Arizona State, could quietly be one of the draft’s biggest steals. Add his production to a revamped offensive scheme, and New York may be shaping up to surprise.
The NFC East has been warned. The Giants aren’t just rebuilding—they’re reawakening.
