Silva warns: “Facing City will be no walk in the park.”

Marco Silva believes Fulham will face a fierce challenge when they host Manchester City at Craven Cottage on Sunday, as Pep Guardiola’s side still need a result to secure Champions League football.

Despite City enduring a rare trophyless season—their first since 2016/17—Silva isn’t underestimating the test ahead. He’s never beaten Guardiola in 14 attempts and expects nothing less than a high-stakes battle.

“Even if it’s not a perfect season for them, they remain incredibly difficult to play against,” Silva said. “They dominate possession, and you have to be resilient and well-organized to contain them.”

With both teams still playing for pride and position, Silva emphasized Fulham’s motivation: “They’re still chasing Champions League qualification, and for us, reaching 54 points is a big achievement. We want to enjoy this last game, embrace the challenge, and give our fans something to celebrate.”
