Ipswich Town Football Club is planning further upgrades to Portman Road stadium as part of its ongoing improvements.
The club has submitted a proposal to build a new workshop in the southwest corner of the grounds, intended for daily operational use. This space would sit beside the photographers’ room and the stairwell leading to media facilities on the second floor.
Additionally, the first-floor warehouse currently used for TownTV filming will be converted into a two-storey office area. This includes transforming existing storage into office space and adding a mezzanine level to accommodate operations, safety, data, and finance departments.
Planning documents highlight that these upgrades will make better use of currently underutilized areas within the stadium and bring more of the club’s staff together. Movement around the site will remain mostly unchanged, and all existing routes will stay in place.
The club emphasized that these changes reflect its ongoing commitment to meeting Premier League standards and maximizing the use of its stadium facilities.
