“I want to win everything I can” — Eberechi Eze’s hunger grows after historic season

Eberechi Eze is riding high after delivering Crystal Palace their first major trophy in 163 years, scoring the winner against Manchester City in the FA Cup final. But for Eze, the triumph was a childhood vision realized, not a surprise.

“I’ve dreamed of moments like this since I was young,” he said. “To be the one who helped bring a trophy to south London, it means everything.”

His journey hasn’t been easy. Rejected by Arsenal, Fulham, and Millwall before 18, Eze’s path has been anything but straightforward. Now a star at Palace, he’s making history, fulfilling his dreams, and inspiring others.

Off the pitch, Eze is also giving back. At the third annual *Eze Foundation Invitational*, he emphasized his desire to provide free football opportunities for young people. “We want to create an environment where kids can just enjoy football without worry,” he said. “Giving back has always been in our hearts.”

He also paid tribute to those who paved the way at Palace, acknowledging that their success stands on the shoulders of those who came before: “This moment is just part of a bigger journey.”

Eze credits manager Oliver Glasner for the team’s resurgence. “He’s a top coach who knows exactly what he wants,” Eze said. “His intensity and belief shaped our form this season — the results show that.”

With England manager Thomas Tuchel watching from the stands at Wembley, Eze’s FA Cup performance has only strengthened his national team case. After scoring his first England goal in March, he hopes to secure a regular spot ahead of next year’s World Cup.

“Being in the squad is always the aim,” he said. “There’s a lot of competition, but I’m focused on enjoying my football. I trust that if I keep doing what I do, the rest will follow.”

And after a career-best season? Eze’s goal remains clear: “I just want to enjoy, express, entertain, and win.”
