Sandro Tonali has confirmed he’s happy at Newcastle United and has no plans to leave the club. Speaking ahead of Italy’s World Cup qualifier against Norway, the midfielder said he values the bonds he’s formed in England.
“I’ve found people who care about me, and I care about them. I don’t want to break any of the bonds I’ve built,” Tonali told *Sky Sport Italia*. While he admits to missing Italy at times, he emphasized how much he enjoys returning for national duty.
Looking ahead to the Norway clash, Tonali stressed the importance of ball control and team unity, acknowledging the strength of their opponents. “We need to keep the ball and not let them dictate the game,” he said.
Tonali also reflected on Newcastle’s EFL Cup win, describing it as a special moment, especially given the underdog status of the team. “It was amazing to do it with a team that hadn’t done it in 70 years,” he said.
This season, Tonali made 45 appearances for Newcastle, scoring six goals and providing three assists.
