Our men’s first team will take on Newcastle United in South Korea this summer as part of the 2025 Coupang Play Series.
This marks our third appearance in the Coupang Play Series, which is part of our pre-season tour of Asia. Newcastle, the 2024/25 Carabao Cup winners, will be making their debut in the tournament.
The match is scheduled for Sunday, August 3, at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, with kick-off at 12 noon UK time (8pm local time).
This will be our fifth visit to Korea, where the Club enjoys strong support and is widely regarded as the most popular overseas team. We previously featured in the Coupang Play Series in both 2022 and 2024.
As part of the trip, the squad will engage with fans, support local initiatives, and celebrate Korean culture. We’ll also collaborate with AIA, our Global Principal Partner, to promote health and wellness across the region, and partner with Alipay+, whose logo will appear on the back of our shirts.
Additionally, our Global Football Development coaches will run training sessions and educational workshops for local youth and coaches, sharing elite methods developed through our Academy.
