Crystal Palace set asking price for Eberechi Eze amid Arsenal interest.

Arsenal are stepping up their pursuit of Eberechi Eze as the player grows more eager to make the move.

Mikel Arteta is determined to strengthen Arsenal’s attack this summer by adding more creativity and flexibility, especially after last season’s title push was hampered by injuries to key players.

Eberechi Eze has emerged as a prime target, offering Arteta the ability to play both out wide and in the No.10 role—positions in which he has excelled for Crystal Palace in recent years. With club captain Martin Odegaard struggling after ankle surgery last September, Arsenal lacked creative depth. Teenager Ethan Nwaneri isn’t yet trusted in that role, and while Max Dowman is expected to step up next season, he’s unlikely to have a major first-team impact right away.

Fabio Vieira, now back from a loan at Porto, is expected to be sold if a suitable offer comes in. Meanwhile, Eze—who is also being monitored by Manchester United and Tottenham—is believed to favour a move to Arsenal, the club that released him at age 13.

Talks are already underway with Eze’s representatives over wages and the terms of his release clause. According to the Evening Standard, while Arsenal would like to negotiate a lower fee, Crystal Palace insist on the full £68 million, payable in three instalments.

In other transfer news, Arsenal have signed goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea for a reported £5 million fee. The 30-year-old, who spent last season at Real Madrid, has agreed to a three-year contract. Kepa replaces Neto, who had joined as backup to David Raya but has now returned to Bournemouth after his loan expired.

Speaking to the club’s website, Kepa expressed his excitement: “I’m really, really happy to be here. The ambition this club has, especially after speaking with Mikel and Inaki, makes me believe we’re very close to winning. Hopefully, we can achieve that together.”
