Jens Cajuste had a solid loan spell at Ipswich Town during the 2024/25 season before returning to Napoli at the end of the campaign.

Reports in Italy suggested that Besiktas were close to securing the Swedish midfielder’s signature. However, journalist Alfredo Pedulla now reports that Ipswich have re-entered the race with a firm move for the 25-year-old in recent hours.
While a deal with Besiktas seemed imminent, Ipswich’s renewed interest has caused Cajuste to pause and reconsider his options. The transfer is now on hold as he takes time to make a final decision.
Cajuste’s previous loan to Ipswich included an €11.5m obligation to buy, but it would have only been triggered had the club avoided relegation from the Premier League.
