Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is reportedly in talks with Saudi Pro League club Al-Qadsiah to terminate his contract, which has sparked interest from several European teams. Among them is his former side, Olympique de Marseille, who have held discussions in recent hours about the possibility of bringing him back.
Aubameyang, now 36, enjoyed a strong spell with Marseille during the 2023-2024 season, playing 51 games, scoring 30 goals, and providing 11 assists. Although his early performances in Ligue 1 drew criticism, he turned things around with a standout UEFA Europa League campaign, helping the team reach the semi-finals and winning over the fans in the process.
After his successful stint in France, Aubameyang moved to Al-Qadsiah in Saudi Arabia, where he continued his good form, scoring 17 goals in 32 matches. As he nears an exit from the Saudi club, a return to Marseille is now on the cards.
