Milan submit verbal offer to sign Gent full-back in race against rivals.

AC Milan are now exploring a move for Archie Brown as a left-back option, with talks held on Tuesday.

With Theo Hernandez expected to leave soon, AC Milan are actively searching for a new starting left-back for Massimiliano Allegri. Names like Oleksandr Zinchenko and Andrea Cambiaso have already been linked to the role.

One of the more recent and promising candidates is Archie Brown, who currently plays for Belgian side Gent. Brown joined Gent in August 2023 from Lausanne-Sport in Switzerland, after beginning his career in Derby County’s youth setup.

According to Matteo Moretto on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, Milan have held recent talks regarding Brown. He stated that the English defender is one of the top options being considered to replace Hernandez, and the club has been actively working on the deal.

Moretto also revealed via X that Milan have made a verbal offer to Brown, though no official negotiations have started with Gent.

Other clubs, particularly outside of Italy, are also showing strong interest in the 21-year-old full-back.
