Marco Silva is reportedly eager to take charge at Tottenham if the club parts ways with Ange Postecoglou at the end of the season.
According to former Tottenham and Manchester United scout Mick Brown, Silva is eyeing a step up to a bigger club and sees Spurs as the ideal next challenge. Brown, who remains closely connected to both clubs, told *Football Insider* that the Fulham boss believes he has reached his ceiling at Craven Cottage—especially if the team fails to qualify for the Europa Conference League.
Fulham are currently sitting 11th in the Premier League, trailing eighth-placed Bournemouth by just two points with three matches remaining. A finish outside the European places could prompt Silva to consider the exit, especially given the reported release clause in his contract that would allow him to leave for a set fee.
Brown, speaking in March, confirmed that Silva is high on Tottenham’s managerial shortlist. With experience under legendary figures like Sir Alex Ferguson, Brown asserted that Silva would not hesitate to accept the job if it were offered.
“Marco Silva wants the Tottenham job,” Brown said. “He’s done an excellent job at Fulham, but I believe he’s taken them as far as they can go. If they don’t qualify for Europe, and Spurs make the call, I’m sure he’ll take it.”
However, Spurs’ managerial search isn’t limited to Silva. The club has also been pursuing Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola. Yet, Tottenham have been dealt a fresh blow, as *Football Insider* revealed on 2 May that Bournemouth are confident Iraola will commit to a new long-term deal, despite growing interest from North London.
With multiple contenders in the mix and uncertainty swirling around Postecoglou’s future, the race for the Tottenham hot seat is heating up—and Silva is firmly in the frame.
