Kenny Tete may be on his way back to Ajax this summer, with the Dutch giants now leading the race ahead of PSV Eindhoven.
According to Soccer News, Tete’s expiring contract at Fulham opens the door for a move, though his high wage demands remain a sticking point. PSV have long admired the defender but struggled to meet his €3.5 million annual salary.
That level of pay is reportedly manageable only for Ajax among Eredivisie clubs. Tete is also thought to prefer maintaining his current wages, making a return to his old club the most likely outcome.
Ajax had previously held promising talks with Tete, but a deal didn’t materialize. With the situation now more financially feasible—even amid internal cost-cutting—the move looks increasingly realistic.
