Crystal Palace’s Jesse Derry arrives in Germany for talks with potential new club.

Jesse Derry’s Camp Arrives in Germany for Transfer Talks

Jesse Derry’s representatives have landed in Germany to discuss a possible transfer with a Champions League club, sources told Football Insider. The 17-year-old Crystal Palace winger is nearing the end of his contract, which expires in June, and a move abroad would require only minimal compensation.

Derry recently earned a call-up to England’s Under-19 squad for this summer’s European Championships, further boosting interest in his signature. He has already turned down a professional contract from Palace, keeping his options open for a move elsewhere.

Earlier, Football Insider reported that both Celtic and Rangers are monitoring the situation closely. Meanwhile, Derry’s breakout season — featuring nine goals and two assists, mostly in the U18 Premier League — has drawn attention from top European clubs like Bayern Munich, Juventus, PSG, and Atletico Madrid.

Known for his versatility on either wing, Derry’s departure would be another blow to Crystal Palace’s academy, following the exits of Samuel Lusale and Reggie Watson.

Guehi’s Future Also in Doubt

On the senior team front, Palace also face uncertainty over club captain Marc Guehi. The defender has rejected a move to Tottenham, reportedly favoring a potential transfer to Liverpool. With just one year left on his contract, Palace may be forced to sell Guehi this summer, as Newcastle and other clubs remain interested.
