Everton are interested in signing Aleksandar Mitrovic this summer, according to journalist Ben Jacobs. The former Newcastle and Fulham striker currently plays for Al-Hilal, but could leave the Saudi club soon.
Al-Hilal are preparing for the Club World Cup and need to manage their foreign player quota, which may lead them to sell or loan Mitrovic. His representatives are scheduled to meet with the club on Tuesday to discuss his future.
Mitrovic is attracting attention from several Premier League clubs, including Everton, West Ham, and Manchester United. AC Milan has also made an enquiry. The 30-year-old Serbian forward is reportedly open to reducing his £405,000-a-week salary for a return to Europe.
Al-Hilal value Mitrovic at around £40 million and expect offers this summer as they look for a new striker ahead of the Club World Cup. Since joining in 2023, Mitrovic has scored 68 goals and provided 15 assists in 79 games for the Saudi club.
Everton, preparing to part ways with Dominic Calvert-Lewin whose contract expires soon, see Mitrovic as a potential replacement to strengthen their attack.
In the 2024/25 season, Mitrovic scored 28 goals and made 7 assists in 36 appearances, playing 2,771 minutes with a goal every 99 minutes on average.
