Jack Clarke is aiming to rediscover his best form at Ipswich Town in the 2025/26 Championship season after a tough first year ended in Premier League relegation. The winger had joined from Sunderland for an initial £15 million, following two standout Championship seasons with the Black Cats.
Despite his potential, Clarke had limited impact in the top flight — starting just 12 games and failing to score. Yet, his past record of 27 goals and 18 assists at Sunderland keeps hopes alive for a strong bounce-back.
Ipswich reportedly have no plans to sell Clarke this summer. With no release clause and the club valuing him at £30–40 million, a transfer appears unlikely. Ipswich fan pundit Adam Wilkin believes Clarke is now settled in the system and can play a major role in a promotion push next season.
Although his debut campaign under Kieran McKenna was underwhelming, Clarke still has the pace, skill, and end product to thrive.
At just 24, Ipswich see him as both a key short-term weapon and long-term asset — making a quick sale off the table for now.
