The New York Giants have announced that 11 training camp practices will be free and open to the public at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center in East Rutherford, N.J. But what’s the main attraction? All eyes will be on “The Jaxson Dart Watch.”
This year’s camp isn’t business as usual. With the arrival of the team’s newly drafted “Quarterback of the Future,” the 2025 training camp—set to kick off on July 23—promises to be anything but routine. The open practices will wrap up with a joint session against the New York Jets on Wednesday, August 13.
These open sessions could reveal a brewing quarterback battle for a spot on the 53-man roster.
For now, veteran quarterback Russell Wilson is the presumed starter—officially backed by the coaching staff. Still, rookie first-rounder Jaxson Dart is expected to generate significant buzz throughout camp, possibly fueling fan hopes for more playing time than expected.
Making the jump from college to the pros is challenging for any rookie, but especially so for quarterbacks. That’s why many believe head coach Brian Daboll will need to take a patient, long-term approach with Dart.
But the big question remains: Can Daboll afford to be patient—and if so, for how long?
Joining Dart in the spotlight is fellow rookie Abdul Carter, another highly anticipated addition to the roster. Both players will be closely watched as they begin their NFL journey.
