Nottingham Forest in ‘positive’ contract talks during Athens meeting.

Nottingham Forest are in talks with the representatives of a key City Ground player, according to NottinghamshireLive.

Nottingham Forest are reportedly in talks with Callum Hudson-Odoi’s representatives over a new contract to extend his stay at the City Ground.

The 24-year-old forward, who scored five goals in 36 appearances last season, is the latest player the club is hoping to secure on a long-term deal. According to Sky Sports’ Dharmesh Sheth, Hudson-Odoi’s agents have been in Athens this week for discussions with Forest officials. Talks are said to be “positive and ongoing,” with the player now in the final year of his current contract.

While Forest work to retain the former Chelsea winger, interest from other Premier League and Serie A clubs has reportedly emerged, with some rivals keen to stay informed on the situation.

The Reds have made strides in securing key figures this year. Defender Murillo, striker Chris Wood, and head coach Nuno Espirito Santo have all signed new deals, while Neco Williams also committed his future to the club earlier this week, extending his contract until 2029.

After announcing his new deal on Instagram, Williams hinted Hudson-Odoi could be next. In the comments, Hudson-Odoi replied with flame emojis, prompting Williams to respond: “Your turn now.”
