Crystal Palace are reportedly leading the race to sign free agent Davide Calabria, according to Sky Sport Italia, despite interest from La Liga clubs Celta Vigo, Real Betis, and Mallorca.
The Premier League side have advanced talks with the Italian right-back, who is currently without a club after his contract with AC Milan expired and Bologna opted not to make his loan move permanent.
Calabria, a Milan academy graduate, has made 221 Serie A appearances, scoring nine goals for Milan and Bologna. Palace are expected to accelerate negotiations in the coming hours to secure his signature.
