Simon Adingra of Brighton & Hove Albion is reportedly considering a move to Ligue 1 in the summer, according to Foot Sur 7. The winger, who had a regular role under Roberto De Zerbi, lost his place in the starting lineup after Fabian Hürzeler took charge.
Last season, Adingra played 2,853 minutes across 40 games. However, this season he has featured in 26 games, totaling over 1,000 minutes, with seven league starts. Frustrated by Hürzeler’s decisions, the Ivorian international is now looking for a loan move to Ligue 1, with FC Nantes being a potential destination.
Previously, Marseille had shown interest in Adingra during Jean-Louis Gasset’s tenure between February and June 2024, and even made contact with Brighton. The Ivorian government, which has a partnership with Marseille, hoped to see Adingra join the club to help promote tourism in the country. However, the French club did not pursue the move further, even after De Zerbi’s arrival.
Nantes could offer more playing time, making them a credible option for the 23-year-old, though their financial situation may complicate the deal. Adingra’s contract runs until 2026, and without a renewal, it’s uncertain whether Brighton would approve a loan move.
