Vietnam has been an emerging force in the global pickleball scene, having joined the international community in recent years.

The Vietnam Pickleball Incubator (VPI), supported by Proton Pickleball Vietnam and Pink Tour, is hosting the exciting event “Rise with the Flames” to celebrate the country’s formal integration into the global pickleball community. The event, taking place from April 11-18, features activities across several cities, including Hà Nội, Ninh Bình, Quảng Ninh, and HCM City.

Among the star participants are Andrei Daescu, the world’s top-ranked men’s doubles player, along with notable players like Jack Sock, Genie Bouchard, Tyson McGuffin, Jesse Irvine, and Pesa Teoni from the Phoenix Flames, a top contender in the Major League Pickleball (MLP). The stars will participate in talk shows, exhibition matches, and share their experiences, while also promoting Vietnamese culture worldwide.

On April 12, the group will visit the Hà Nội Tourism Gifts Festival, where they will try traditional folk games, watch a water puppet show, and savor local delicacies. The next day, they will head to Ninh Bình Province to explore the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Tràng An Landscape Complex. A thrilling MLP Day will follow on April 15 in Hà Nội, where Vietnam’s top players, including tennis professionals transitioning to pickleball such as Lý Hoàng Nam, Trịnh Linh Giang, and Vinh Hiển, will face off against global stars. Well-known amateur players like Quỳnh Phan and Trang Red will also join in, with the event broadcast live on FPT Play and social media.

On April 17-18, HCM City will host a unique opportunity for fans to meet and play with the world’s best players, watch exhibition matches, and receive exclusive tips from the pros at the D-Joy Pickleball Thủ Thiêm and South Saigon Courts.

VPI, Vietnam’s first organization dedicated to the development of pickleball, aims to create a sustainable ecosystem for the sport, connecting players, training talent, and eventually building a national team. This April event marks the beginning of a strong foundation for the Vietnamese pickleball community and confirms Vietnam as a rising hub for the sport.
