Player was close to joining Fulham – Summer move still possible.

AC Milan’s Samuel Chukwueze was close to joining Fulham late in the January transfer window, but the move ultimately fell through.

According to Antonio Vitiello of MilanNews, the Nigerian winger had ‘almost packed his bags’ to leave, but the deal collapsed due to a lack of time. Despite being viewed as a sellable player, Chukwueze stayed at AC Milan.

Since then, the 25-year-old has scored two goals for the Rossoneri. However, the club is expected to put him back on the market this summer, as he hasn’t met expectations.

Manager Sergio Conceicao isn’t fully convinced by his performances, and with Christian Pulisic ahead of him in the pecking order, his future at San Siro looks uncertain.

It remains to be seen whether Fulham will revive their interest. If they do, they may have a good chance of finally securing the winger’s signature.
