Colorado Avalanche’s Game 1 date and start time confirmed.

The Colorado Avalanche now have the full picture for their first-round playoff series against the Dallas Stars — including the date and time for Game 1.

The NHL confirmed Wednesday night that the Avalanche will open the series Saturday at 6:30 p.m. MDT at American Airlines Center in Dallas. The game will air nationally on TNT, truTV, and Max, and locally on Altitude Sports.

Unlike the NBA, the NHL releases postseason schedules in segments. Wednesday’s announcement included only two matchups: Avalanche vs. Stars and Game 1 of the Blues vs. Jets series. The full first-round schedule will be revealed later.

This series marks a rematch of last season’s second-round battle, which Dallas won in six games — ending Colorado’s season with a heartbreaking double-overtime loss at Ball Arena.

As for team news, it’s still unclear whether captain Gabriel Landeskog will return for the series. General manager Chris MacFarland declined to comment on his availability.
