Sessegnon nets late goal to secure Fulham victory.

Ryan Sessegnon’s stoppage-time header kept Fulham’s European hopes alive with a dramatic winner.

Fulham had to come from behind against the Premier League’s bottom side. Jack Stephens opened the scoring for Southampton with a glancing header from Ryan Manning’s free-kick. Fulham struggled in the first half but improved after the break, with Willian hitting the post before Emile Smith Rowe eventually equalised. Smith Rowe’s shot, set up by Alex Iwobi, deflected off Jan Bednarek and looped past Aaron Ramsdale.

Fulham pushed for a winner, with Iwobi and Raul Jimenez both missing chances. Ramsdale also denied Smith Rowe with a superb save. However, Sessegnon eventually made the breakthrough, heading in Adama Traore’s cross to seal a vital win for the Whites.

Fulham lineup: Leno, Tete, Andersen, Bassey, Sessegnon, Berge (Lukic 46), Pereira (Traore 46), Wilson (Vinicius 86), Iwobi (Cairney 86), Willian (Smith Rowe 66), Jimenez.
