CFR Cluj dezvăluie echipamentul principal mult așteptat – dar de ce a durat două luni și jumătate?

CFR Cluj has officially unveiled its new shirts through a presentation video that featured several key players, including captain Mario Camora, leading scorer Louis Munteanu, and the club’s recent signing, former Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma.

On social media, the club shared the message “With patience you can cross the sea” to accompany the launch. The new kit comes in a deep cherry red, decorated with zigzag patterns across the chest and abdomen, and finished with a rounded white collar.

Despite being introduced more than two months into the season, the design is not unique to CFR, as it had previously been used by Farul. To create a stronger connection with fans, the club released a series of photos showcasing the shirt in everyday life. It was modeled by people from various professions, such as a conductor during rehearsals, a waitress, a driver, a nurse, a schoolchild, a teacher, a hairdresser, a florist, and a shop assistant.

The unveiling comes at a difficult time for the Romanian vice-champions, who are struggling with poor form. Under Andrea Mandorlini, CFR sits 11th in the league, with only seven points from eight matches. Earlier in the season, during Dan Petrescu’s tenure, the club was knocked out of the Europa League and endured a heavy 2–7 defeat against Häcken in the Conference League play-off, a result they were unable to overturn at home in Gruia.

Supporters will have the chance to see and wear the new kit for the first time tomorrow at 6:15 PM, when CFR Cluj faces UTA Arad.
