Historic Leeds Venue Transformed Into Nerve Centre of Secretive Campaign to Honour Club Legend
The Old Peacock, a historic pub across from Elland Road, has become the headquarters of WILKO92, a supporter-led campaign to honour former Leeds United manager Howard Wilkinson. The movement aims to fund a statue of the man who guided Leeds to the First Division title in 1991/92 and played a key role in developing young talent at Thorp Arch. As part of the effort, the pub will serve a Wilko92 Tribute Ale, with proceeds from every pint going toward the statue fund.
