Now that I’ve moved into my own place, I’ve started to realise just how much space nearly three decades of matchday programmes can take up — most of them quietly stacked away in my mum’s attic. Flipping through them, it’s hard not to notice how much the quality has faded over the years. What was once a 60-page treasure trove of club news, stories, and stats has been reduced to a thin pamphlet padded out with advertisements. And yet, despite it all, I still find joy in them. Maybe it’s nostalgia, maybe it’s habit — but to me, they’re more than just paper. They’re memories in print.
